Snacks: Snacks may be permitted in classes based on teacher discretion. If classroom snacks are permitted, we ask that the snacks be healthy. Additionally, only water is allowed as a drink in classrooms. Due to concerns regarding allergies, we ask that students DO NOT eat snacks containing tree nuts or peanuts in classrooms or hallways.

Students please bring your jackets and/or sweatshirts with you to lunch if you intend on going outside for recess. Students will not be allowed to go to their lockers after they have eaten.
WATER BOTTLE RETURNS ARE BACK! If you drink Poland Springs water and would like to recycle the bottle, please bring it to room 212! An empty, label on, Poland Spring water bottle will be traded for a lollipop!
The INTERACT CLUB is collecting food for needy families in our area. Donations can be dropped off in the main office until December 14th.
LOST AND FOUND There are numerous items that are in our Lost and Found. There is a table set up in the front lobby. Please stop by to see if your lost items are there.
SHARE is having their annual Long Island Cares Pet Food Drive from 12/5-12/18.
Collection boxes are in room 116 and at the Counseling Center
What is needed:
5 or 10 pound bags of dog or cat food (Larger bags are also accepted and greatly appreciated)
Canned dog and cat food
Kitty Litter
Dog and cat treats
NEW toys
Food for all small pets - included but not limited to reptiles, fish, ferrets, and hamsters!
Important Health Information: All pet food must be unopened, and in its original packaging.
Unopened bags, ripped bags, or loose pet food will not be accepted. We apologize in advance for this inconvenience.
In the past ENMS has donated around 700 pounds of pet food!!! We would like to get close to that or even beat that this year!!
Student Council Coat Drive:
The Student Council will be collecting coats, jackets, hats, gloves & scarves for our annual coat drive! Please donate any new or used winter clothing until December 21st.
"Our Town" Toy Drive:
The Student Council will be collecting new, unwrapped toys for our annual holiday toy drive beginning December 10th until December 19th. We appreciate all donations! Toys will be donated to the Northport-East Northport School District student organization "Our Town".

Costume Committee-The Costume Committee for the Wizard of Oz will meet on Monday, December 10th. We will meet in the auditorium until 4pm. See Mrs. McCarthy in room 102 with any questions.
WRESTLING INTRAMURAL (OPEN MATS): Any 6th, 7th or 8th grader interested in open mats, there will be an informational meeting after school on Tuesday, December 11th until 3:30pm. It will be a very short meeting to discuss expectations and schedule. Open mats is a great way to become familiar with the sport of wrestling, strengthen basic skills and train for the start of the season in the third quarter. Hope to see you there. Attention all 8th graders. In less than three weeks the price of the yearbook will go up! Buy yours this month for the low price of $49. Go to to purchase your book.

Permission slip can be found on Google Classroom for STARS. You must be a member of STARS to attend. See Mrs. Heller or Mrs. Pieron for the enrollment key. Please print out form and return the completed form with check for $68 to Room 111. Any questions, see Mrs. Heller or Mrs. Pieron.
