ATTENTION SENIORS: Any student who plans to attend Prom is required to also attend one Prom Safety Informational Meeting. The first meeting was May 19th and the second meeting will be Tuesday, May 31st at 7:00 pm in the HS Auditorium. You must also have your parent or guardian, your date, and your date’s parent or guardian attend one of the two meetings. Please note that attendance at this meeting is mandatory in order to purchase a ticket and ultimately attend Prom on June 23rd.

LAST CHANCE TO APPLY-The Office of Community Services is hiring counselors for the Summer Recreation Program at Ocean Avenue Elementary School. Student workers must be entering their senior year in September. The program will run for five weeks from July 5th through August 5th. If you are interested, please call the Office of Community Services at 262-6650 by today.

Relay for Life will be back this year on June 11th. Be sure to get yourself and your team signed up. If you want to be involved we meet Mondays in H-241 after school to plan and organize. Stop by our table in the commons during lunch periods to get involved. Any questions see Ms. Gilroy or Mr. Slagle.

The Counseling Center will be hosting a college essay writing workshop entitled  ”The Ten Mistakes Students Make on Their College Application Essays.” on Tuesday, May 24th at 7pm via Zoom. Attention all students: The school doctor will be here for school physicals on Thursday, May 26th and Thursday, June 2nd. Please see the Nurse ASAP to see if you have a current physical on file, make an appointment and be pre-screened.

Suffolk County Police Department is offering free enrollment to The Suffolk County Youth Academy. The youth Academy is designed to operate like an actual police academy for those interested in law enforcement. Students should be prepared for a hands-on experience spanning a wide variety law enforcement techniques and training.  Students must have completed 11th grade, attend all 5 sessions, have two counselor/teacher recommendations and endorsement by the school principal.  The program will be held July 11th - July 15th, 9am to 3pm.   Applications available in the counseling center.  Deadline is June 3, 2022.
